Over 35 organisations across Norwich have gained a Sanctuary award with us, which means they go out of their way to be welcoming towards people seeking sanctuary in our city. Below is a summary of just some of the ways they are helping those new to Norwich.

UEA library voucher of welcome for sanctuary seekers

UEA library has created a voucher of welcome for all local sanctuary seekers who wish to access the library and use the facilities. If a sanctuary seeker shows the voucher below to library staff during working hours – they can be registered as an external library member (without the usual £50 fee). Those wishing to take up this offer will need to fill out a simple form when they attend the first time (hence needing the first visit to be within working hours). External membership includes borrowing of up to 10 items at a time and a campus card which permits entry to the library 24/7.
